When to Begin Treatment

The American Association of Orthodontics recommends that children see an orthodontist for an evaluation at age 7. If you have children older than 7 who haven’t yet seen an orthodontist, it’s never too late to bring them in to see our doctors for a free consultation.

Your First Visit

Our orthodontists will determine if your child needs braces and orthodontic treatment, and the best time to start.

It’s very common today for children to have braces. The teasing that came along with braces when you were younger just doesn’t exist anymore. In fact, most kids want to get treated. Kids have come to expect that they and many of their peers will probably have braces at some point. In fact, you can save them a lot of anxiety as adults by getting braces done at the proper time.

If our orthodontists recommend starting braces we can begin right away. If we recommend waiting to begin braces, we’ll send you a reminder as the time approaches.

The whole consultation process is designed to be as comfortable and as easy as possible. It’s a chance for you to get to know us, and for us to get to know you and your child and welcome you to our office, where we hope you and your family will become a part of our family, too.

Our doctors and entire team enjoy answering questions, so ask all you want.

You can rest assured that everything we do in developing your child’s customized treatment plan is bringing them one step closer to that perfect smile.

So bring your child over to the office for a free braces consultation. It’s one of the best investments you can make in their future.

While you’re visiting, consider making an appointment for braces for yourself, too. Adult braces is easy, discreet, and nearly invisible, with amazing results. Even if you had braces as a kid, if you’re not happy with your smile – there is something you can do about it.

We often treat multiple members of one family at once – we think it’s a lot of fun, and so rewarding to see those gorgeous family portraits!
